Our Office of the General Counsel (OGC), the Firm's internal legal team, is seeking trainee solicitors for 2028. Successful applicants will take part in our Placement Schemes in Leeds, London or Manchester and will be assessed for a training contract during the scheme. 

Want to find out about what exactly OGC is and how it differs to the typical training contract at Addleshaw Goddard? Sign up to this session to hear from OGC colleagues, including trainees, about their experiences and the work they do. You'll also receive hints and tips on how to make a strong application. 

Applications for the OGC training contract will close on midday 12pm, 6th January 2026.

The aim of Ethnicity.Talent.Law is to bring together students from ethnically diverse backgrounds with people from Addleshaw Goddard LLP as part of a growing effort to increase ethnic diversity within the legal sector.

Key figures from Addleshaw Goddard LLP will share their stories, experiences and the challenges that they have faced during their careers and provide a platform for students to gain advice on the recruitment processes and much more.

This 3 part event will consist of experiences and journeys into the legal profession and offering advice to participants on the following:

Application process insights: A session centred on what students should or could be doing to help them succeed in the application process.

Panel discussion – Journey into Law: A panel discussion with a group of practising solicitors from a range of different backgrounds and levels of qualification from Addleshaw Goddard LLP, sharing their paths into the legal profession and challenges faced along the way. 

Networking: The opportunity to network with trainees and fee earners from the London office in an informal setting.
